The Epic Battle

The Epic Battle between Truth or Dare.

You opt  for the dare.

Because it’s easier than facing something you don’t want to answer.  You can take a dare and feel braver, more confident; somewhat accomplished in your own abilities.

Because in truth, people stare.  Judge.  Get offended.  Buckle under the awkward emotions that stir inside.

But if truth is always truth, then the dare is a lie.  And I think today, too many people are convinced that the dare is just another option for a different truth.  A greater lie indeed.  When somehow truth looks like another lie, because of you and me.

A growing number of people choosing a different dare each day.  A dare that may work.  Until is doesn’t anymore; causing you to come face to face with the same question.

You see, truth never changed.  Never deviated.  It loves.  It forgave.  The only change was in the responses of the people being asked once again: Truth or Dare?

Because when the world questions truth, we are given an unspoken option for another dare.

An opportunity by action to make the truth start sounding like the lie.

Because at some point, that truth brings us to a question that causes us to look into our own unkempt souls.  And we are afraid to answer with truth.

You see, truth, has in fact always been much riskier than the dare.
