To Travel The World

Poem Written by me, Loni, author of this blog, as all poems posted have been thus far.   I want to see the world, near and far.   After yesterday’s revelation from a two week plus writer’s block, I released something to my other blog: The Writer in Me, at sapphirefire27.wordpress.com, and it seems the poetry block was opened as well.  I hope you’ll enjoy. 🙂

To Travel the World

If I could travel the world;

write whimsically,

write free.

Would I sail across the ocean?

Perhaps fly over like a bee?

Would I smile as I moved,

or avoid the kindness of strangers met?

Would I tremble in fear,

or embrace unknown dangers we’d all like to forget?

If I would travel the world;

write willfully,

write free.

Would I write about the past?

Its beauty?  Its mystery?

Would I write fiction with fancy,

indulging my imagination?

Would I write factual articles

about the love of a Nation?

If I should travel the world;

write wildly,

write free.

Would I be changed forever,

or just find another key?

To who I am.

To where I hope to be.

Would I be brave as I go,

if I had to go alone?

Learning yet another way,

to trust in my rock; my everlasting stone.

Oh, to travel the world…
